Kristin Heldt of High Point was tabbed the CRONS Brand Freshman of the Week for matches played Nov. 7-13.
Heldt, a right side/outside hitter from Frankfort, Ill., recorded 37 kills, seven blocks and three digs to help the Panthers to a 3-0 record last week, including two Big South wins. She led the team with 14 kills in a non-conference win over NCCU, hitting .321 with two blocks. She followed it up with eight kills and three blocks in a win over Coastal Carolina. Heldt finished the week with 15 kills and .303 hitting against Charleston Southern, adding two more blocks. She averaged 3.08 kills per set and .58 blocks per set while hitting .233 for the week. The honor is her first Freshman of the Week plaudit this season.
