Notice to ALL Junior Players and their Parents/Guardians:
In order to attend a tryout for ANY USAV Great Lakes Region Junior Club that takes place prior to November 1st, Junior athletes must be registered with the USAV Great Lakes Region for the 2012 season (a limited tryout membership or a full membership will be available) OR show proof of registration from the previous season. Go to the Great Lakes Region website at www.greatlakesvolleyball for complete step by step instructions. Previously registered athletes are ENCOURAGED to print out their membership card from the 2011 season to take with them to ANY tryout they wish to go to in order to show proof of membership. The link to print the membership card can be found among the left hand choices on the screen when in your USAV Webpoint account.
Athletes attending tryouts taking place AFTER November 1st MUST show proof of registration for the 2012 season. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Tryout Fee: $15
Players try out for the age they will be on Sept. 1, 2012.
Teams
Three 15U full-season teams, three 15U short-season teams, three 16U full-season teams, three 17U full-season teams, and two 18U full-season teams.
Full-Season
Nov. 28 – June. Teams practice 2-3 times per week, compete 2-3 weekends per month. Free weekly setters’ training. Teams compete in leagues, tournaments, and at least one national level event.
Short-Season
March – May. Teams practice 2x a week; compete in local, single-day tourneys on 2 weekends per month.

Financing
Ultimate VBC strives to make club volleyball accessible to everyone by offering interest free, no-fee, extended monthly payment plans to all members. Dues per team are listed below.
Club
Ultimate Volleyball Club is entering its 14th year of providing athletes with advanced training and competition. UVC annually fields 40-45 teams. Ultimate VBC offers players the advantages of professional coaches, full-time directors, successful teams, college recruiting assistance, jump training, and home facilities in Frankfort and Orland. The club has won eleven Asics Jr. National Championships, consistently qualified for USAV Jr. Nationals, and helped 125 players earn college scholarships.

2011-2012 GIRLS’ 15’s – 18’s CLUB TEAMS
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Ultimate Volleyball Club is in its 14th year of providing athletes with advanced training and elite competition. Experienced certified coaches stress proper technique, individual development, progression to advanced skills, and team success. Multiple teams will be offered at each age level. Ultimate VBC traditionally fields over 40 teams annually. Teams practice at our home facility in Frankfort (IL) and may also practice at our satellites in Orland Park (IL) and Tinley Park (IL).
FULL-SEASON GIRLS’ TEAMS AGES 15-18
The season begins Nov. 28 and ends with a national event in June or early July. All players practice with their entire age division for the first two weeks of the season. At the conclusion of the two-week evaluation period, players are assigned to specific teams within their age division.
Setting Training: Provided by master coaches once a week free of charge to all full-season setters. Setters attend setting training on a separate day in addition to their regular team practices. Position players also attend for additional training and reps with their setters.
Teams practice 2-3 times a week on weeknights. Jump training is conducted on a regular practice night (separate fee.)
Most teams compete on two weekends per month in league play or tournaments. Older teams may compete more often. Most tournaments/leagues are held in the Chicagoland area. All teams will compete in at least one national qualifier/national tournament during the season and in one national championship.
Dues
Ultimate will offer three 15’s full-season teams, dues: $1695; three 16’s full-season teams, dues $1725; three 17’s full-season teams, dues: $1795; and two 18’s full-season teams, dues $1795.
Dues do not include uniform or out-of-state travel.
College recruiting assistance is provided free of charge.
Extended monthly payment plans and limited work opportunities available.
SHORT-SEASON GIRLS’ TEAMS

The short-season begins the first week of March and concludes with the last scheduled competition at the end of May. Multiple teams will be offered at the 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U and 15U ages. All players practice with their entire age division for the first week of the season. At the conclusion of the evaluation week, players are assigned to specific teams. Two-hour practices are held twice a week on weeknights. Teams compete twice a month on weekends in tournaments. All tournaments are single-day and are held in the Chicagoland area. Dues: $650 (does not include uniform.) No travel fees.

Seven-year UVC coach. Led her 2010 Ultimate 15’s to qualify for USAV Junior Olympics. Coached her team to the 2010 Asics Jr. National Championship. Led her 2005 Ultimate 17’s to qualify for USAV Junior Olympics. 1999 NCAA National Champion, Penn State University; two-time Big Ten Champion. Former player, Sports Performance VBC, 2nd City VBC.
G12-gold Coach, Colleen Flaherty
Eight-year Ultimate coach. Led her Ultimate 12’s to qualify for USAV Junior Olympics in 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2006. Coached at Marian Catholic H.S. for six years. Coached 12’s and 13’s for seven years at 2nd City VBC where she qualified her teams three times for USAV Junior Olympics.
G12-blue Coach, Alyssa Pickert
First-year Ultimate coach. Coached 15’s for Andover Pumas VBC in Massachusetts. Set records at Merrimack College for digs per game, digs per season, and career digs. Nationally ranked from 2007 – 2010 in NCAA DII Top 25 stat leaders for digs per game. Former Ultimate player. High School Regional and sectional champion.

Third-year Ultimate coach; former coach Ultimate 12’s. Five-year Ultimate player. Played four years at Lincoln-Way East HS. 2004 Conference and Regional champion. Graduated from the University of Iowa in 2009. Lindsay is also the new Marketing Director for Ultimate.
G14-gold Coach, Nancy Frederick
Seven-year UVC coach. Qualified her Ultimate teams for USAV Junior Olympics in 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2005. Assistant Varsity Coach, Queen of Peace HS. Former coach, girls’ freshmen team, Mother McAuley HS; boys’ sophomore team, Brother Rice HS; girls’ sophomore coach, Marian Catholic HS. 23-year coach, St. Ann School; perennial league champion.
G14-blue Coach, Justin Tomaska
Coaches girls’ freshmen and boys’ freshmen teams at Lincoln-Way East HS. Former Ultimate player, won two Asics Jr. National Championships and a silver medal at USAV Junior Olympics. As a player at LWE, helped varsity to a 5th place state finish in 2006 and 4th place state finish in 2007.

Eight-year Ultimate coach. Qualified her 2005 team for USAV Junior Olympics. Coached her 2003 team to a bronze medal at Asics Jr. Nationals. Three-year girls’ assistant varsity coach and three-year boys’assistant varsity coach at Romeoville HS. Played for Lincoln-Way HS and Players Choice VBC.
